Vice President Mike Pence just held a speech to announce President Trump’s Cabinet “will no longer rely” on the United Nations alone when it comes to help-funding Christians facing persecution over in the Middle East.
His speech turned heads at the Defense of Christians’ yearly Solidarity Dinner for Christians in the Middle East Gala. He addressed the fact that Obama sent made it a task to send $1 billion to humanitarian aid to the Middle East, but only to the UN.
“My friends, those days are over,” Pence said.
So instead of doing what Obama did, the humanitarian funding will be sent directly to faith-based organizations where it will be distributed from there.

“Our fellow Christians and all who are persecuted in the Middle East should not have to rely on multinational institutions when America can help them directly,” Pence said.
“From now on, the United States Agency for International Development will administer the relief,” Pence said.
“Tonight, it is my privilege to announce President Trump has ordered the State Department to stop funding ineffective relief efforts at the United Nations and from this day forward, America will provide support directly to persecuted communities through USAID,” he explained.
“The United States will work hand-in-hand from this day forward with faith-based groups and private organizations to help those who are persecuted for their faith,” Pence said.
“This is the moment. Now is the time.”
“And America will support these people in their hour of need.”
The United Nations does not put much effort into helping Christian based groups so President Trump is just making sure that they are being taken care of.
I say Bravo Mr. President. Christians are being persecuted all over the world and not enough is being done to make sure they are receiving the help that they desperately need.
If you support our President’s decision, then let’s give him an applause by Sharing this everywhere!
